I am always looking for new and interesting trends and stories around beer.
Starting with the - more or less - hard facts from the brewing process, history of beers and regional, national and international beer markets.
My passion is to discover the different beer styles and their variations, create fancy menus together with kitchen chiefs and help spreading the word that beer can be much more than just an alcoholic beaverage in my Beer seminars (german website).

I was raised in Bavaria and got involved into beer pretty early in my life. Ever since I was open-minded to every beverage that called itself "beer" whether or not brewed according to the "German Beer Purity Law" from 1516.
During my professional life I was travelling the world a lot and so I was able to broaden my beer horizon by combining business trips with beer tastings and brewery visits.
In addition, I brew my own beer together with a friend in a small 50l equipment, to make sure that my knowledge is not only theoretical.

In my spare time I also play music in a local band called Perle Kerle.

Also I am constantly studying further by taking courses and classes at leading beer academies like Siebel Institute of Technology in Chicago and the Doemens Institute in Munich. I hold a PhD in Physics from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany.
